Your booking system works. The fee is the problem.
When someone finds you on Google, or comes back from last year, they should be able to book with you - without a booking platform charging a fee on the sale.

Legend's tours, ATV trips and transfers are booked and paid on their own website. Go through a booking and take it to the payment screen - you don't have to pay.

Which bookings move, and which stay.
Four ordinary bookings for a $640 tour for four. The ones that found you themselves move to your own site; the ones a reseller sold stay where they are.
Sent to the platform's checkout, where its booking fee applies: about $38.40 at 6%, paid by you or by them.
Books and pays on your site. Our fee is $12.16 (1.9%), from your side.
You send them a platform link, and the fee comes with it.
You send the link to your own tour page. Same $12.16, and they are your customer again.
Viator sells it and takes its commission.
No change. It stays on your platform.

One set of seats, split so nothing double-books.
Saturday's waterfall tour has 12 seats. We agree how many each side can sell - here, 4 held for your platform's resellers, 8 on your own site. If resellers are a small share of your bookings, moving everything is often simpler - that's what Legend did.

You keep what works.
Your website. Your booking. Your payment.
- Keep your website if it's good - we add booking to it
- Keep your platform for resellers and agents where you need it
- Move only what makes sense: sometimes everything, sometimes just your own bookings
- We look at your setup before anything changes
- If there isn't a worthwhile change, we'll tell you
Questions operators ask us.
Do I have to leave my booking platform?
No. Keep it for resellers, agents and anything else that needs it. We move the bookings that come to you directly onto your own site - or everything, if that turns out simpler.
How do you avoid double bookings if I keep it?
We agree how many spots on each departure each side can sell, so the two never overlap. If your reseller volume is large and changes daily, keeping your platform for everything may be the better answer - and we'll say so on the call.
Where does the money go?
Into a payment account in your own name - we never hold your money. We connect the processor that works best in your country and with your bank: in Costa Rica, ONVO; in Mexico, Stripe; in Colombia, a local processor such as Wompi, Bold or ePayco. If you bank or process elsewhere, we work out the best option with you.
Does it work with my current website?
Yes. The booking pages live on your own domain - for example book.yoursite.com - and the buttons on your site point to them. Nothing else on your site has to change.
What happens in the 15 minutes?
We look at your site and booking path together: what a guest sees when they want to book, what you pay today, and where your bookings come from. By the end you'll know whether there's a change worth making. If there isn't, we'll say so.
How long does it take to set up?
Usually two to four weeks from the day you say go. We load your tours, prices and departure times; you check everything before it goes live.
One clear lead, a small team.
Lars Beurskens leads every project, from the first call to the day your site goes live - and after.
Before Pulpería he spent fifteen years building digital products at adidas, RetailMeNot and Gumtree. A small team works with him on design, build and support, from Costa Rica.
